After its CES 2018 announcement, then the leaks and pre-order reveal after, Microsoft Malaysia finally launches Microsoft Surface Book 2. This is the official product launch, signifying the proper roll-out of the long-awaited premium 2-in-1 device. Indeed, the original Microsoft Surface Book is not on the launch roadmap.

This launch event takes place a few weeks after the Microsoft Surface Book 2 pre-orders have open; almost a month after the Microsoft Surface Laptop hit retailers. Out of the box, this next-gen 2-in-1 powerhouse packs in Windows 10 along with the Windows 10 Creators Update.
“Knowing that many asking, we believe it is appropriate that Microsoft officially launches the Microsoft Surface Book 2 in Malaysia. By design, it offers the ultimate computing experience with the power (of a mobile workstation) and portability of a laptop. As such, it’s suitable for mobile power users,” says Michal Golebiewski, Chief Marketing and Operations Officer, Microsoft Malaysia.

Specs wise, the Microsoft Surface Book 2 packs in two key parts, among other things. They comprise the latest Intel 8th Generation Core CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX GPU. Having both, the next-gen 2-in-1 can deliver on its promise to do more thanks to its advanced processing capabilities. According to Microsoft Malaysia, the official launch event will see four SKUs rolling out. This includes the 13- and 15-inch consumer and commercial variants. The former and the 13-inch commercial system is available for purchase today; as for the 15-inch commercial take, it will appear only after 29 May 2018.
Depending on specs configuration, the pricing for the Microsoft Surface Book 2 is varied. Officially, it can start from RM6,899 and go all the way up to RM14,199.
