Maxis And HUAWEI Take 5G To Malaysia

5G is coming sooner to Malaysia than we expected. Yesterday, during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona 2019 Maxis and HUAWEI signed their memorandum of understanding (MoU) as a validation of their partnership to accelerate 5G infrastructure in Malaysia.

Maxis CEO-designate and Morten Bangsgaard, Chief Technology Officer, Gokhan Ogut was present during the signing. HUAWEI on the other hand was represented by its Rotating Chairman, Guo Ping, its President of Southern Pacific Region, Jeffery Liu and its CEO of Malaysia, Michael Yuan.

Maxis and Huawei signed a MoU to cooperate on full-fledged 5G trials with end-to-end systems and services to accelerate 5G in Malaysia.

Ogut and Yuan stated that Maxis and HUAWEI are looking into the possible future of Malaysia, which in this case the arriving of 5G, and would like to join hand in hand in expanding the horizon and boundaries for both their businesses and in the acceleration for the Information, Computer and Technolog (ICT) world today.
