As eSports becomes more world-renowned as a legitimate career path for most casual gamers who are looking to break into the scene, Logitech Malaysia has decided to introduce its new line of gaming peripherals into the world of eSports to show it means business. Logitech has also sealed its commitment to the Malaysian gaming industry by partnering up with Singaporean Internet gaming platform provider, Garena.
Logitech’s latest line of gaming peripherals are made out of the G900 Chaos Spectrum Gaming Mouse, the G633 Artemis Spectrum Gaming Headset, the G810 Orion Spectrum RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, and the G610 Brown Backlit Mechanical Gaming Keyboard. “As we aim to nurture and develop competitive multi-player computer gaming locally, this partnership is in line with Logitech’s continuous support towards the Malaysian eSports scene,” said KP Sim, Logitech Country Manager of Malaysia, Philippines, and Brunei.
Aside from introducing its latest series of gaming keyboards, mouse, and headset, Logitech has also announced its backing of Garena Malaysia’s very own League of Legends team, the KL Hunters. Currently ranked 12th on the Southeast Asian Ladder and also occupying the 100th slot in the world eSports rank for League of Legends, the KL Hunters are also equipped with Logitech’s latest gaming gear.
“We spend 12 hours a day practicing and refining our skills so that we can compete in the upcoming Garena Premier League Summer of Season in August,” said team captain of KL Hunters, Poon “OzoraVeki” Kok Sing. Known as one of the industry’s leaders in gaming peripherals, Logitech hopes the sponsorship will inspire budding talents to pursue their ambitions in gaming.
