Remember LineageOS? It’s effectively a ‘reboot’ of CyanogenMod with a more back-to-basics approach after Cyanogen Inc. disintegrated.

News is that they’re finally releasing experimental and nightly ROMs of their custom Android operating system for a small number of devices. These devices include the OnePlus One, Nextbit Robin, the Nexus 5X and 6P as well as a few by other major manufacturers. In total, more than 80 android phones appear to have support for the new build. LineageOS continues where CyanogenMod left off with version 14.1 built on Android 7.1 Nougat. Don’t expect major differences from the previous build, save for the new logo and name and a few background processes.
