Even though LDC panels have come down in prices, to get a morsel of cinematic experience on a screen, you least something bigger than 60-inches. And as economy go on displays, the larger they are the more expensive they become. For that reason, the likes of projectors and ultra short throws will have a place in the market, shooting 100-inch image at a fraction of the cost, quality has also improved tremendously over the years. LG is no stranger in this field with the Minibeam, and now has added two to the line up, the advanced PH450U and extremely portable PH150G.

Tight space no problem, the PH450U is an Ultra Short-Throw  model that can create a cinematic experience in the home or office, pricing is also made affordable and is able to project up to 80-inch in HD quality(1280 X 720) image from a distance of only 33 centimeters from the screen.

Feature wise, the model can also be set upright on one end to render images on any flat, horizontal surface, making desks, tables and even the floor into an instant movie screen. Comes with a rechargeable 2.5 hour battery, eliminating the need for cables or searching for power socket.

Ports include HDMI cable with MHL capability, USB drive, has lamp life of 30,000 hours and high contrast (100,000:1) with 450 lumens.

LG Minibeam_PH150G

As for the PH150G this models offers the same compact, sleek design of other LG Minibeam projectors but half the size (115 x 115 x 44.5 mm) and weigh just 450g. Its equipped with long-lasting rechargeable battery, Wi-Fi Screen Share connectivity and is Bluetooth compatibility.

The PH450U will be available starting next month in Europe and North America while the PH150G will begin rolling out in target countries in North America, Europe and Asia with other markets to follow.
