Lenovo has unveiled its most powerful gaming laptop to date: the Lenovo Legion 9i (18″, 10), at Tech World Shanghai 2025, designed not only for gamers but also for developers, designers, and AI engineers.

“Built with top-tier hardware and next-generation AI software innovations, it combines exceptional speed and intelligence — not just for immersive gaming, but also to empower game developers, AI engineers, and designers with the high performance and optional 2K 3D support they need to bring their visions to life,” Jun added.
The Legion 9i comes equipped with up to Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 275HX processors and NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 5090 GPU, delivering a combined CPU and GPU performance of up to 280W. It supports up to 192GB DDR5 RAM and 8TB SSD storage, making it suitable for demanding tasks like 3D modelling and AAA game development.
A key feature is its 18” PureSight 4K display with optional 2K 3D support — offering 3D viewing without a headset, using a lenticular lens and eye-tracking technology. Developers and gamers can enjoy up to 240Hz refresh at 4K and 440Hz at FHD. The screen boasts a 93% screen-to-body ratio, ensuring immersive visuals with minimal bezels.
The Lenovo AI Core chip and AI Engine+ adjust performance dynamically based on user needs, while Lenovo Legion Space integrates features like Game Coach, Clip Master, and Companion, along with RGB lighting that reacts to in-game sound and visuals. The device also includes a six-speaker system and Legion Coldfront: Vapor cooling for silent operation under load.
Crafted with a forged carbon lid made from aviation-grade carbon fibre, each laptop is uniquely hand-assembled. The device also includes multiple connectivity options, including Thunderbolt 5, HDMI 2.1, and a 99.99Wh battery.
The Legion 9i will also appear at Unreal Fest in Orlando from June 2, allowing developers and gamers to experience it first-hand. The laptop is bundled with three months of complimentary PC Game Pass, while Legion Ultimate Support offers 24/7 assistance for performance optimisation and repairs.
Local pricing and availability for both the Legion 9i and the Legion 18” Armoured Backpack II will be announced at a later date.
