Lenovo Group has been honoured, for the fourth consecutive year, with the Platinum Award in the H-share Companies and Other Mainland Enterprises Category of the 2016 Best Corporate Governance Awards, by the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA). In the same category, Lenovo has been granted a Special Mention in the Sustainability and Social Responsibility Award, for the first time. This special mention acknowledges the company’s continuous achievements in sustainability, both locally and globally, which is proven through various actions, including the signing of the American Business Act on Climate Pledge, acting as a signatory of the We Mean Business initiative, its placement on the 2016 Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index for the seventh year in a row, and much more.
The Platinum Award recognizes Lenovo’s commitment to upholding rigorous standards of corporate governance through corporate disclosures and practices, including reporting, solid board practices and an emphasis on corporate social responsibility.
The HKICPA’s Best Corporate Governance Awards were introduced in 2000 and are Hong Kong’s most established and prestigious awards for corporate governance.
