One of Southeast Asia’s premium animation conferences, Kre8tif! Conference, is back this year with even more lively content. Where previous years feature a 2-day seminar and exhibition, this year’s take covers an entire week! In its seventh year running, this event will feature sharing sessions, discussion opportunities, and various exhibitions throughout the week.

It will start with the Cyberjaya Kre8tif! Fun Run on 5 August 2018. A recently added event, this sporting element allows participants to exercise with producers and creatives who worked on these colourful animation brands. Mascots will at the event as well and all are encouraged to cosplay, dress up, or support their fandom during the run.
Right after are the Kre8tif! Xhibition and Business Xchange, both concurrently falling on 6 and 7 August 2018. The former has been an anchor event from the very beginning but will no longer be a part of the main conference. According to Hasnul Hadi Samsudin, Vice President of Creative Content and Technologies for Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation, this is to provide creatives who usually manage the booths the opportunity to join the conference.

As for the latter, while also a recent addition, the industry networking aspect has also become an anchor element. After all, new deals and ideas are discussed among creative studios and broadcasters.
The main event – Kre8tif! Conference – will showcase the best minds from the creative industry as they take the stage to share their experience and insights into current and upcoming trends. Major studios – both global and local, broadcasters, industry analysts, marketing folks, and government agencies will be sharing the spotlight during this two-day power-packed event.

Kre8tif! is also introducing a new feature – the Kre8tif! Enterntainment Xperience. This platform is for all attendees to try out new innovations and concepts that have been popping out over the last 12 months. From virtual reality to new app controls and enriched multimedia delivery, this zone will have all that and more.
There is, of course, a public facing event as well – the Cyberjaya Multimedia Festival (11 to 12 August 2018). For this, all are welcomed to join in on the fun as there will be movie screenings, meeting mascots, and music shows too. While this is the second-year running, unlike 2018, there will be an entrance fee.
