K Raman was the Managing Director of Microsoft Malaysia, responsible for overseeing the entire Malaysian subsidiary in line with Microsoft’s vision to empower every person and organisation on the planet to achieve more.

He led a team of close to 200 employees and 2,000 partners, driving digital transformation across Malaysia. With over 30 years of experience in the IT sector, Raman has been a key figure in the Asia Pacific leadership team, and previously held leadership roles at Oracle, EMC and Hewlett-Packard.

During his tenure, Raman led initiatives like Microsoft’s ‘Bersama Malaysia’, supporting the nation’s digital economy amidst COVID-19. Under his leadership, Microsoft Malaysia received numerous accolades, including Top Subsidiary for Emerging Medium Countries in 2019, and recognition as the top choice for graduate recruitment in the technology category for several consecutive years.

Raman’s dedication to digital transformation and education extends to his role as an adjunct professor at Taylor’s University and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
