In an unexpected turn of events, popular Japanese singer-songwriter Joji has announced the cancellation of his upcoming concert in Kuala Lumpur, along with shows in Singapore and Hong Kong, citing health reasons. The announcement was made through an Instagram Story on Joji’s official account, @sushitrash, this morning.

“Unfortunately, I won’t be able to make it to my upcoming shows in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Hong Kong due to health reasons. I will be back, I promise!” Joji wrote in the Instagram Story.
The Kuala Lumpur event organizer, Live Nation, has confirmed the cancellation and expressed regret over the situation. In an Instagram post, they assured fans that ticket refund details would be announced soon.

“We regret to announce that Joji will not be able to continue his performance for his upcoming Pandemonium Asia show in Kuala Lumpur due to health reasons. Ticket refund details will be announced soon. We appreciate your patience and understanding and apologize for any inconvenience caused,” Live Nation stated.
Joji, known for his chart-topping songs like “Glimpse of Us” was scheduled to perform at Merdeka Hall in Kuala Lumpur on November 30 as part of his Pandemonium 2023 world tour.
The cancellation also affects his appearances at ZoukOut 2023 in Singapore on December 2 and Hong Kong on December 3, which were part of the Asia leg of his tour. Joji had recently completed performances in Taipei and Bangkok earlier in the week, concluding with a show in Manila on November 28.
Fans who were eagerly anticipating the Kuala Lumpur concert and subsequent shows in Asia will now have to wait for Joji’s return. The artist has reassured his followers that he intends to come back, emphasizing his commitment to his fans despite the unfortunate setback.
