As hybrid work continues to redefine the modern office, Jabra has announced the launch of its PanaCast 40 Video Bar System (VBS, the first Android-powered video bar specifically designed for small meeting rooms. The new solution will be available in Malaysia from August 2025, with a recommended retail price of RM8,800 (bar only) and RM12,800 (with touch controller).
According to Jabra’s 2025 survey, 94% of employees use small meeting rooms daily, and 73% say these rooms improve collaboration, underscoring the growing demand for better-equipped huddle spaces.
The PanaCast 40 VBS addresses a critical market gap, as less than 3% of huddle rooms globally are currently video-enabled. Equipped with dual cameras and 180° field of view, it ensures that all participants are visible on screen, even in compact environments. The system also features one high-quality speaker and six microphones with intelligent beamforming and sound-enhancing algorithms for crystal-clear audio.
Melvin Phun, Country Manager of Jabra Malaysia
Melvin Phun, Country Manager of Jabra Malaysia, said the PanaCast 40 VBS reflects a major shift in how modern teams collaborate.
“With 65% reporting that their most innovative ideas are born in these settings, the modern workplace is undergoing a transformation. Small rooms, phone booths, and huddle spaces are a cornerstone of this evolution, yet they’ve often been overlooked by traditional video solutions. With the PanaCast 40 VBS, we’re addressing this gap by delivering a flexible, intuitive, and future-proof Android solution that empowers teams to collaborate seamlessly, regardless of room size or platform preference.”
The device is designed for fast deployment, with new packaging that allows IT administrators to provision the device without removing it from the box. It also shares accessories with its larger counterpart, the PanaCast 50 VBS, enabling seamless integration across different room sizes.
Key features of the PanaCast 40 VBS include:
180° FoV with dual-camera system and 4x digital zoom
Superior audio via six beamforming microphones and single speaker
Easy installation with simplified cable management
Flexible compatibility with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and BYOD setups
MDEP-based platform with enhanced security and smart room boundary settings
Managed via Jabra+ software, ensuring consistent updates
ADA-compliant, with detachable faceplate for easy cleaning

To support education and accessibility, Jabra also plans to roll out student verification features in selected markets, allowing verified university users to trial rotating video bar features each season.
The PanaCast 40 VBS aims to help organisations optimise their small spaces for collaboration, delivering the clarity, inclusion, and simplicity increasingly required in today’s hybrid working world.
