While manual capture gives complete control of the shot without the need for a third party app. Another wonderful feature is the new Automatic Motion Detection mode which will start recording as soon as it senses movement in the frame and add music to create three shareable GIFs.
Of course the most talked about is the new AR function which can turn human images to an animated personality of oneself using the front camera. Using advanced AR technology the devices analyses a 2D image and creates a 3D animated AR Emoji, thats got the crown going at Barcelona when first shown.
With Bixby coming of age, Samsung is making better use of its AI on the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ building the intelligent application directly into the camera’s. Now once you’ve taken a picture, the app provides you relevant information of the image like local landmarks, ability to read a foreign menu or street sign in 54 different languages. If you see a cool product, Bixby will show shopping options from retailers, a new Makeup feature lets you try on different looks and shop for preferred choices. It can even estimate the calories of a meal!
