With Netflix’s probable demise (well, at least a stab wound), Disney+ is a scary thing to think about. The absolute power of Disney’s content, alongside their other brands is frightening enough to streaming sites like Netflix, and there’s already talk on whether they’ll dominate the market next. There’s still a spot for Netflix I feel, but I guess they’ve got to make preparations for the time that Disney decides to pull all their content from their platform.

With that, it seems they’ve started going into animated feature films, and their first ever being Klaus. A story of what seems to be the origin story of Santa Claus, from a guy named Klaus. This comes in time for the holidays, so maybe it’ll be a hit, and they start producing their own animated films. But I don’t know if this’ll be enough for them to stave off Disney, and my guts telling me, it’s not.

Here’s the synopsis for those interested;

“When Jesper (Jason Schwartzman) distinguishes himself as the postal academy’s worst student, he is stationed on a frozen island above the Arctic Circle, where the feuding locals hardly exchange words let alone letters. Jesper is about to give up when he finds an ally in local teacher Alva (Rashida Jones), and discovers Klaus (Oscar winner J.K. Simmons), a mysterious carpenter who lives alone in a cabin full of handmade toys.
