iPhone Design Guru Jony Ive Back At Apple Design Team

Steve Jobs worked closely with Jony Ive on all the design revolution, Apple products when through during the duo’s reign. The result kicked off a global dominance and a revival of a brand that was at a brink of oblivion.

Jony Ive has been with Apple and worked on most of the memorable design elements in the company right up to its latest 2.8 million square foot Apple Park headquarters in Cupertino. Having been promoted to Chief Design in 2015, the influential Ive moved away from day to day design work and was involved more in management and overseeing macro duties. Now he is reported to be joining back the design team managing the next range of products to be released. Some argue, although Ive was still at the company his direct impact on the products like the Macs, iPads and iPhone ever since his promotion were not quite staggering. Apple has been using the same mold for the iPhone since the sixth generation leaving many fans unimpressed with the recent launch of iPhone 8.

Having relinquished his CDO position and now more time to focus purposefully on products alone, we can hope to see the great design aesthetics Jobs was very adamant about, which also incidently helped convert millions to become fans.
