The Cloud has been redefined recently with its increased use among organisations, creating two specific variants – Public and On-Premise Cloud. While both operate with different parameters, VMWare sees it fit introduce a unified platform for the hybrid system of the Cloud, equally serving both platforms.

An industry first, this ‘One Cloud, Any App’ concept offers virtualised computing, networking, and storage services that are fully powered via software-based systems. This Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform, according to VMWare, will enable customers to create one consistent environment across the private and public Cloud to run, protect, and manage any Cloud-native or traditional apps. This also includes offering customers openness and choice in how to build and manage their services and environments.

No matter the type, choice or cloud consumption model, this unified platform brings the flexibility and choice to create new or update existing applications, with greater ease of manageability and security across the business.

“Malaysian companies are among the most dynamic and competitive businesses in the world. The Cloud is highly pervasive among market players here and thus, VMware’s new offerings is uniquely positioned to partner with Malaysian companies as it simplifies the management of their Cloud and enable them to focus on the more important elements of their business,” says Laurence Si, Country Manager, VMware Malaysia and Brunei.
