Huawei Nova 2 Plus Coming in August

After teasing the launch of a new phone last week, Huawei is ready to reveal more details on the latest addition to its nova series. The new phone will be called nova 2 Plus; boasting a 20-megapixel front camera, it will come with dual rear camera.

The front camera is said to have 3D facial recognition technology for more vivid photography. Pairing with Huawei’s self-developed ISP, the camera functionality is enhanced with higher resolution creating a more detailed image. An intelligent portrait algorithm will take into account a wide range of facial features and the difference in skin type and textures, delivering more natural and true-to-life portraits.

The rear camera will carry 12-megapixel and 8-megapixel dual lens setup. The wide-angle 12-megapixel lens can capture broader scenery, while the long-focus 8-megapixel lens shoot for subjects at a distance.  The second lens serves an auxiliary lens when the main one is shooting, capturing all kinds of detail, including colours, brightness and clarity, to produce top-quality photographs.

The nova 2 Plus will also have the moving picture feature that was released earlier this month. The feature allows users to take moving pictures by generating one static photo and one mini video with a single movement, creating motion in static images.

To be fitted with 128GB of storage, the design of the phone will bring smooth rounded corners on a 2.5d FHD screen packed into a super slim 6.99mm body with a range of colour options such as Graphite Black, Aurora Blue and Prestige Gold, and multiple colour casing.

The availability of HUAWEI nova 2 Plus for Malaysia will be announced soon.
