Colour defines a mood, blue is calm, green is fresh and red is one colour that offers a multi facet dimension from vibrancy to romance. In oriental culture the colour represents luck and fortune, a  popular choice during festive where people wear red clothes, red handbags and now even insist on red smartphones, to please the luck god.

As luck would have it, HTC is increasing the colour palette for the U11 by adding Solar Red in addition to other pre-existing colour variants such as Amazing Silver, Brilliant Black and Sapphire Blue in the 6GB RAM/128GB edition, for the superstitious lots out there . Unlike the reds on some branded smartphones, (you know who we are referring to…hint giant billboards near Bangsar) the colour on the U11 takes of a different tone and gleams variedly depending on the light and angles viewed from. Given the name as such based on how the hues reflect and change due to the nature of HTC’s Liquid Surface design, whereby different colours are incorporated into the layers of glass giving colour like orange, yellow and even gold like the celestial star.

After Taiwan, Malaysia is only the second country to receive this honor of having the version available. U11 Solar Red will be priced at RM3,099 at all authorised HTC retailers.
