Fans of Hrithik Roshan in Malaysia were left disheartened as the much-anticipated “Stars on Fire Kuala Lumpur Live in Concert” faced cancellation.

The 49-year-old actor, who was set to make a return to the country after eight years, had initially postponed the concert, only to later confirm its cancellation.

Originally scheduled for December 1 at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium, the concert’s cancellation was announced via an Instagram reel by Hrithik on November 30.

Expressing regret, he cited current challenges and a deep respect for the well-being of Malaysians as the reasons behind the decision.

Hrithik acknowledged the efforts of the organizers, including Yess Boss Group, Dembi Productions, and Heart-Art Production, thanking them for attempting to organize the event.

Social media platforms witnessed an outpouring of disappointment from fans who had been eagerly anticipating Hrithik’s return to Malaysia.

Some expressed their hopes for a future event, while others lamented missing the chance to meet the Bollywood superstar.

Heart-Art Production stated that the decision to cancel was reached with mutual consent among the organizers. The company is currently working on refunding all ticket holders who had purchased tickets for the event.

The cancellation comes in the wake of the initial postponement, announced by Yess Boss Group just three days prior, citing unforeseen circumstances.

Before the official cancellation, Kuala Krai MP Abdul Latiff Abdul Rahman, from PAS, had called for the event’s cancellation, deeming it “unsuitable and insensitive” amidst the ongoing Palestine-Israel conflict.

As disappointed fans await updates on ticket refunds, the cancellation raises questions about the challenges faced by event organizers in navigating unforeseen circumstances and the complexities of global events impacting the entertainment industry.
