We’ve all been there. We’re at the coffee shop, trying to pick the cutest cat costume we can find, or the pinkest dashboard cover on sale. And we lean in to cover our laptop screen because we don’t want anyone seeing us doing any of that.
Or we could be in the train and we can’t stop peeking at the person next to us because she has her laptop on and her Facebook wall on the screen.

Usually, the only solution is the eye-catching, ugly screen protector that you can slide in front of your PC. Now, all that may change.
HP wants to gear its army of notebook PCs with a privacy screen from 3M to prevent what the company termed, ‘visual hacking.’ It’s not exactly a big issue, but the company did not see it that way.
“We don’t see it as a niche,” says Alex Cho, VP and General Manager of HP’s Commercial PC Division.
This would be good news for extremely self-conscious PC users and bad news for bored, nosy snoopers.

Information are scarce now, as HP is guarding its latest venture jealously and we’ll have to wait for mid-2016 to see the first product of the kind to arrive in the market.
