HP has been missing from the computer market for quite sometime, so much so, the former number one PC maker has lost grounds to not only Lenovo but even to Dell and Asus. But like the Empire after the attack on the Death Star, HP Strikes Back! the company is not staying quite, hot after a major decoupling exercise of its entire enterprise business from the group, HP is assaulting the market the way it knows best…launch new products that wow the crowd!
At today’s launch, HP Malaysia- announced new premium PCs that feature exclusive form factors, sleek industrial designs, high-resolution displays and audio by Bang & Olufsen, all built with the Windows 10 game-play in mind.
According to HP, with over half a billion PCs in the world that are more than 4 years old, now is the time for exciting new form factors, leading-edge design and powerful devices. The new HP devices are nearly half the weight, a third the height and nearly twice the battery life versus their older counterparts and offer experiences incomparable to aged devices.

Lets look at the range of models introduced, being the official partner for the upcoming blockbuster Star Wars: The Force Awakens, HP also introduced limited edition notebooks for the fans.
New Limited Edition Spectre x360
The multi mode HP Spectre x360 gets a facelift, the new models sports an even thinner design, long battery life, fast boot times and greater Wi-Fi connectivity compared to version 1.0. Comes in a 13.3 inch diagonal Ash Silver with Copper accents, the limited edition also celebrates Bang & Olufsen’s 90th anniversary. Facelift includes, 6th Gen Intel Core i5 and i7 processors and SSD up to 256GB, weighs 1.48kg and 15.9 millimeters thin, Full HD display and will last up to 12 hours.
The Two In Ones
2 in1’s are in every PC makers arsenal, HP has one too- HP Spectre x2, weighing sub 1kg at 850 grams the tablet is thin as in just 8mm thin slap in a 350 gram keyboard and it thickens up to 13.15mm, making it one of the thinnest on shelves. Battery life stands up to 10 hours but what is surprising is the camera, the Spectre x2 offers three cameras: 1) a HP Truevision FHD 5 mega pixel front facing camera for web chats; 2) HP Truevision HD 8 mega pixel rear facing camera to take pictures and shoot videos; and 3) Intel RealSense Camera R200 to capture and enable 3D experiences. Star Wars Limited Edition, Just One Design?
Being the official partner, you would have expected a full on rebel attack by HP against the Empire, but HP comes out with just one Galactic Empire inspired notebook, the Star Wars Special Edition notebook has a “battle-worn” distressed design with “Galactic Empire” written in the unique Aurebesh font on the hinge and Stormtroopers on the keyboard deck, that comes in a Millennium Falcon case. A true geeks wet dream, the touchpad design mirrors the X-Wing Star Fighter Guidance System and a red backlit keyboard. Battery life again is decent, up to 7 hours of battery life, comes in full HD( in a 15.6 inch diagonal display. Customers have the choice of sixth generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors . With audio tuned by B&O Play and dual speakers, optional accessorries include special edition wireless mouse and sleeves.
Thin And Light Envy
The 13.3 inch ENVY by HP has a metal chassis with a curved profile and elevated lift hinge to give customers a more stable and comfortable typing and viewing experience. Along with its dual fans, the lift hinge promotes better air circulation under the device, keeping it cool and quiet. The display offers customers a crisp Quad HD+ resolution and comes with dual speakers and audio tuned by Bang & Olufsen. The HP TrueVision Webcam features dual array microphones with noise cancellation technology, controlling background noise so customers on both ends of a web chat will enjoy crisp, clear sound. The notebook features a backlit keyboard for low-light environments also included is a fingerprint reader that works together with Windows Hello.
HP Pavilion Gaming
Starting with the 15.6-inch diagonal HP Pavilion, HP added aggressive color and boosted the hardware to offer the processing power and great graphics customers want in an affordable and portable gaming PC. Customers can expect the speed they need even with the most memory intensive applications with up to 16 GB of system memory. The backlit keyboard glows bright green with a fierce gradient reptilian pattern on the keyboard deck.
