Honor revealed their latest Magic 6 smartphone significant feature, where the smartphone can be controlled using the user’s eyes. 

During the highly anticipated Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit 2023, the tech world discussed AI integration at the chipset level.

Honor stole the spotlight by announcing their smartphone features set to debut on their upcoming flagship, the Honor Magic 6.

While industry giants such as iQOO and Xiaomi confirmed that their next-generation flagship devices would be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, Honor took a bold step forward by showcasing a series of impressive features through captivating on-screen demos.

One of the most intriguing demonstrations involved the integration of a feature called Magic Capsule.

This feature allows users to control their smartphones with their eyes. During the demo, a woman effortlessly maneuvered her device, utilizing the eye-tracking technology to seamlessly navigate various applications.

Referred to as “eye-tracking based multimodal interaction” by Honor, the Magic Capsule promises an immersive and intuitive user experience.

Although the efficiency of this feature remains to be fully evaluated, the initial demonstration has sparked significant anticipation for its potential capabilities upon the launch of the Magic 6.

Honor also revealed its plans to integrate Qualcomm’s advanced on-device AI into the Magic 6. The revelation introduces a cutting-edge virtual assistant to the device. 

The YOYO AI voice assistant can generate personalised highlights from videos, allowing users to filter content based on specific criteria.

The unveiling of these innovative features at the Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit 2023 marks a significant step forward in the realm of smartphone technology.
