HONOR Starts Email With ‘Boo!’ But What Scares Us Is How The HONOR 20 Still Costs More Than The Nova 5T

You can get mad discounts this Halloween season though.

HONOR started their e-mail to us with the word ‘Boo!’, which is apt because it’s exactly the same word we’d use to describe the RRP for the HONOR 20. The phone seemed reasonably priced when it came out but the moment Huawei announced that the Nova 5T would be priced at RM100 cheaper, the phone pretty much lost its relevance.

We would’ve thought that HONOR would’ve given the device a permanent price cut by now but that doesn’t look like it’s going to be happening. Fret not though, with Halloween just around the corner, HONOR Malaysia is giving fans an early treat with the HONOR 20 Series Halloween Special Offer! From 19 till 31 October 2019, fans can save up to RM 300 each for the HONOR 20 PRO and HONOR 20 when purchased on hihonor.com.my, HONOR Experience Stores (HES) and partner stores nationwide.

After a slew of press releases that’s only suitable for slow news days, HONOR seems to have finally come through! We simply can’t ignore a good deal when we see one.

The company’s Halloween promo essentially opens the door to customers to cop themselves flagship devices for sub RM2000. It’s certainly looking to be the sweetest of all treats this Halloween season. With the discount, the HONOR 20 Pro is now priced at RM1999 whereas the HONOR 20 comes in at RM1399, which I think we can all agree is a more apt price point.

Can it get sweeter? It most definitely can! Both devices are also part of HONOR’s Rileks, Beli Je 1+1 Extended Warranty Campaign, offering an extended one-year warranty for every purchase from October 1 to December 31, giving consumers a total of two years warranty.

Rm1999 for a phone with a pro-grade camera, a Kirin 980 chipset, 256GB storage AND a 2-year warranty? It’s almost too good to be true. I wouldn’t think too much about it though. I mean, so what if HONOR’s future devices probably can’t come with Google installed?

My two cents is that the HONOR 20 series will be the last of the HONOR devices that will be worth buying (Until the trade ban is lifted, that is), and if there was ever a time to get your hands on the device, it’s now.
