Undoubtedly, one of the main criteria when one considers before purchasing a smartphone is the camera, fortunately on the Honor 8 Pro there are three spectacular shooters with high quality lens in all of them. For the primary, Honor has placed two 12-megapixel f/2.2 phase detection with dual-LED giving ample lighting when the need arises. Both RGB and monochrome paired sensors offer balanced, smooth and noise free images, resulting in desirable photos as intended by the photo taker. If video is your thing you will be pleased to know the 8 Pro supports 4K shooting.

As for the secondary camera, Honor has placed a worthy 8-megapixel lens similar to the one you will find in Huawei’s premium P10 but better. With f/2.0 and resolution of 1080p, selfie shots are uncompromising, the main reason the front facing camera is used for. Easing the handler to take the perfect selfie shot, a simple tap on the back-fingerprint scanner is all that’s required.

Aesthetically Designed

Apart from the stunning Navy Blue colour which gives the Honor 8 and 8 Pro that distinctive appeal, the 5.7’ display coupled with the slimness at just 6.98mm which is slimmer than most premium phones that has a smaller size than the 8Pro. Evidently this was possible due to the ground-breaking inverted U-shaped design which makes the phone a compact cluster of over 1000 component fitted into the frame. Thus a clever utilisation of real estate gives the impression of a big screen which bodes well for entertainment and of course playing Mobile Legends.

Now at a glance you may accuse the Honor 8 Pro looking like either the iPhone 7 or 6S, the antenna lines a quite identical and the slim bezel edges do resemble the iconic smartphone, but upon closer inspection you will notice the difference with the camera placement, the fingerprint scanner and the overall matt finish. These are subtleties which often go unnoticed but necessary.

So let’s look at package again, Honor has quite generously threw in everything including the kitchen sink into the 8 Pro, a powerful chipset, GPU that’s gaming ready, a large memory, battery that can last you close to eternity, three stunning camera’s, 551 pixels per inch and a body shape that will shame even some flagships out in the market today. Honor has yet again met the consumer demands in stellar fashion, at RM1999 the Honor 8 Pro is still the smartphone to beat, giving a complete ensemble at the most affordable price point.
