HappyFresh Now Delivers Tesco Fresh Grocery

Customers who shop from Tesco can now also opt to have their goods sent to their homes via online, the countries extensive hypermarket chain has partnered with HappyFresh an online grocery delivery service provider for the support.

After trialing the service for 6 months across five different stores, customers had the option to have good sent from the nearest outlet. With 12,000 items on the list, the session proved effective when 2500 users had their orders delivered through the service. HappFresh works on delivering fresh grocery and has staffs hand pick the goods for every order. The app went online in October 2014 and has expanded to now Jakarta.

eCommerce in the country is still in its nascent stage and is already seeing tremendous increase with 31% in compound annual growth rate for the past few years. The business-to-consumer e-commerce market is expected to grow to US$3.4 billion (RM 15.13 billion) by 2020.
