Grade A Mobile Gaming Coming To Snapdragon 835 Devices

Class A gaming on mobile devices is restricted due to lack of mobile processors capable of handling intense graphics and power commanded by the games. Although screen resolution are at optimum but there is still areas within the phone that is still not up to standard for instance battery that are not able to withstand the energy consumption.

Qualcomm is working with NetEase Games a Chinese mobile gaming giant to enable its top end Snapdragon 800 series processors to optimize NetEase’s game engine, Messiah, to help create next generation gaming content for premium mobile devices.

“We are excited to work with a leading, global gaming content provider like NetEase Games,” said Sanjay Mehta, senior vice president, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. “By working together, we aim to utilize the cutting-edge multimedia and VR/AR processing advantages of the Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform, allowing players around the globe to enjoy the immersive mobile gaming experiences with higher quality.”

Mobile gaming is quickly becoming the next untapped horizon promising expand the eSport universe into another multi billion industry all by itself. Mobile phone makers like Huawei and Samsung are looking to be early adopters in this space, early this year Huawei introduced Honor 8 Pro a sub brand for lower end segment built purposely for gaming. However, the increasing complexity of next generation mobile games, including VR/AR applications brings even greater challenges to the performance and power consumption of mobile devices. Qualcomm seeks to address these issues with its Snapdragon 845 benefitting from heterogeneous computing capabilities, the chipset is engineered to provide robust performance and extremely low power consumption.


During the recent launch of the OnePlus’s 5T, which is powered by Snapdragon 835, NetEase showed a demo of its latest hit mobile game title, “Knives Out”. The survival sandbox TPS game ran the high resolution game in stable and smooth mode while offering sharp graphic details.
