Good news all round for Malaysians, as our Prime Minister delivers a second stimulus boost for the country. In line with the build up announcements made by his ministers in ways and means of spurring the economy back, this time the Government is offering more incentive for the smaller segment of the economy including the man on the street.

Among the incentive to drive towards more use of digital payment systems, the Government will be handing out RM50 for all ewallet users to be matched with another RM50 by the providers in the form of vouchers and cashback.

Beneficiaries can use this one-off payment for personal expenses like meals and grocery, this token amount will be welcomed although small. This is the second time such a program is being introduced, under the previous government, PH also did similar initiative during CNY, user were given RM30 with a promise for a second roll-out after March. However, that did not materialise after the change of government and YB Lim Guan Eng no longer the Finance Minister.
