This coming weekend will be one of the most crucial days for Malaysians who have been struggling to cope with pandemic that is sweeping across the globe, not only this will be the last week of the Movement Control Order it will also decide the fate of our flocks over our head.

As Covid 19 in the country comes under control, the government has been easing restriction on multiples economic sector with close to 80% already opened and running. Sectors that are still non-operational includes those that involve mass people interaction like schools and events, and in social activity like gyms, bars, entertainment and hair salons. These are regarded as high risk and have yet to know their status. This however is about to change come this weekend, when the National Security Committee convenes to discuss on the whether to open hair salons or continue in keeping them closed.

Hair salons and barbers has been a heavy topic on social media for the past couple of months, many Malaysians are wondering when they can have their haircut and restore their vanity. While some have resorted to DIY by purchasing electric haircut machines and trimming their own tresses, others have just given up and now sporting long hair covering with baseball cap.

Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, Senior Security Minister handling the matter shared the news on the high level meeting he will be having with his colleagues about haircuts after his daily briefing with the media. Malaysia continues to show downward trajectory on Covid-19 cases, recording its lowest local infection of single digits this week.
