Google Photos Indicate Which Photos And Videos That Hasn’t Been Backed Up

Google has a new feature now that shows Google Photos users indicators on images and videos that haven’t been backed up yet. The update which was released late last week provides the new gallery view. Users can see indicators that makes it readily apparently which content hasn’t been safely backed up. The Google Photos app used to have this feature but it was later removed.

If a video or photo hasn’t been backed up, users can manually select it for backup. This solves an annoying problem of content being passed over during automated backups. Some users are already receiving this update now while others are still waiting for it. Google Photos for Android is receiving foldable device support ahead of the Galaxy Fold’s launch. Another update for Google Photos was a new tool that makes it easy for users to directly capture and crop documents and receipts. This eliminates the need to use a separate dedicated scanning app to backup these physical items.
