Soon you will be able to command your Android TV with your voice, as Google is rolling out the intelligent feature across the television sets.

Starting with Nvidia Shield and next for Sony Bravia in coming months, with Google Assistant users can now also control android connected devices like the home lights via their flat screens. On the Shield console whatever screen the unit is connected will be able to add the assistant feature and possibly make the TV remote quite redundant.

With this move, TV manufacturers can focus on the hardware and leave the software and intelligence to Google, with their endless research and development capability the experience in watching a TV set will only get better. A revival much needed in the industry.
