Gigabyte’s Brix lineup has been the company’s take on small form factor PCs. For the longest time, it consisted mainly of Intel NUC (Next Unit of Computing)-inspired mini-PCs, but we were already starting to see the limitations of that form being stretched with the last few releases.
It’s only fitting that they expand the lineup to include something a little larger, but still, altogether compact displacing just 10 litres in terms of volume.
The ‘BRIX Gaming GT’, as it’s rumoured to be called by Hexus and Guru3D, packs a desktop class Core i7-6700K with either a GTX 1070 or 1080 G1 Gaming 8GB from Gigabyte.
This system will be paired to 16GB of DDR4 SO-DIMM memory and will have Intel Dual Band WIreless-AC 3165NGW built in, along with Bluetooth 4.2 and 1 USB Type C slot. There will of course be at least 3 other standard USB 3.0 slots along with a headphone/microphone jack.
It’s also worth noting that Gigabyte is equipping the new PC with an SSD and HDD with room for an extra 2.5″ drive slot.
