Sucker Punch has finally revealed the release date for their upcoming action-adventure stealth game, Ghost of Tsushima.
The news comes in the form of an official story trailer, which you can watch here:
The story trailer reveals quite a bit about what’s going on and a little bit more of what players can expect from the gameplay. Fans of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Nioh, or any other samurai game, in particular, should definitely consider picking this up and see what it has to offer.
Along with the announcement, PlayStation provided details for different editions of the game that are now available for everyone to pre-order. Players can also pre-order the digital versions of the game on the PS Store.
Ghost of Tsushima follows Jin Sakai, one of the last samurai. Set in the 13th century, the game takes place in Tsushima Island, during the time of the first Mongol Invasion of Japan. Jin has to master a new fighting style, the way of the Ghost, to defeat the Mongol Empire and liberate Japan.
The game was first announced all the way back in 2017 and had its first gameplay trailer released a year later at E3 2018.
This game marks Sucker Punch’s departure from the Sly Cooper and inFamous genre of games. Their last game release was inFamous: First Light, a standalone game that was released back in 2014.
The game will be released worldwide on 26 June 2020, exclusively on PS4.
