Game on with Motorola Atrix 2 and EA

Arrived on our shores, the Motorola Atrix 2 partnered with EA Games to present ten EA titles absolutely free. Their aim this time is more towards gaming by offering action, fantasy and adventure straight from the phone.

The Android powered smartphone packs a 1GHz dual-core processor for faster browsing and video. There is also a 4.3-inch qHD screen that offers better experience viewing photos and videos with advanced 3D graphics for smooth and clear game play. There is also a 4GB of on-board memory or up and if that is not enough, it has up to 32GB of optional microSD card storage. The Atrix is also equipped with a 8-megapixel camera with 1080p video recording.

Preloaded in the Motorola Atrix 2 is Need for Speed Hot Pursuit. Users can download the other nine more games from an app called MotoLaunch. The other nine titles from EA are Need for Speed Shift, Dead Space, EA Sports FIFA 10, The Game of Life, Monopoly, The Sims 3, Tetris, Worms and Bejeweled 2.

It has a 1080p HDMI output for users to hook it up to their HDTV to show off videos, games and apps. Other than that, the Atrix 2 included a new app called MotoCast. With it, users can stream music, pictures and video files from a computer. As of now, the Atrix comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread but according to the guys from Motorola, Malaysia should get the Android 4.0 ICS update in Q3 of 2012.

Here are the differences between Atrix and Atrix 2. The display on the Atrix 2 is bumped from 4 inches to 4.3 inches. The rear camera got an upgrade from 5 MP to 8MP and it can now record in 1080p compared to its predecessor, which can only do a 720p recording. The bad news is that they reduced the battery capacity from 1930mAh to 1735mAh.
