We all know that Pascal represents unprecedented power efficiency, with cards like the GTX1050 being able to power many modern titles at high graphics with just the power it draws from the PCI-e slot.

But now it seems one of NVIDIA’s board partners, Galax, is planning on something quite radical. They’re taking the EXTREMELY powerful GTX1070, and making a single slot version of it!

Single slot cards are becoming more and more of a rarity. We don’t remember seeing top-end hardware occupying single slots since… well, around the time of the 8800!

But ever since NVIDIA put a full, desktop-sized GTX980 into a laptop, the game has changed. It’s clear that the technology has reached a point where lots of heat and electricity don’t have to be wasted for extra frames.
