Garena Online and KADOKAWA CORPORATION have unveiled the first look at the anime adaptation of Garena Free Fire, the hit mobile battle royale game, with a teaser visual and trailer featuring fan-favourite character Kelly in the lead role.
Directed by Ken Takahashi (Ragna Crimson, Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya) and produced by CANDY BOX (Blue Archive The Animation), the anime follows Kelly and her allies as they uncover a dark conspiracy hidden beneath a seemingly peaceful universe. The trailer showcases high-energy action sequences and a reimagined theme song produced by Sus4 Inc.
The anime is managed by KADOKAWA QINGYU and will be broadcast and streamed globally upon completion. It marks a major step for Garena Free Fire as it expands its universe into Japanese animation for the first time.
Free Fire, developed and published by Garena, has consistently ranked as the world’s most downloaded mobile game in its genre for six years, according to Sensor Tower. The game continues to attract global audiences with its dynamic gameplay, esports tournaments and now, a new anime narrative.
