First Potato Corner Outlet In Malaysia, Opened At Sunway Pyramid

Potato Corner, a famous french fries brand has made an entry into the Malaysian market with the inauguration of its first store at Sunway Pyramid.

Renowned for delivering the world’s finest flavored fries, Potato Corner celebrated its debut by generously distributing 1,000 complimentary servings of its signature fries to the public.

To commemorate the occasion, the brand showcased its excellence through four distinct flavors: Cheese, BBQ, Chilli BBQ, and Sour Cream—options that have gained popularity across 16 other countries.

With a legacy dating back to 1992, Potato Corner has become a global brand, establishing a presence in over 16 countries and a network of more than 1,800 stores worldwide, including Thailand, the UK, Dubai, Australia, Singapore, and China.

In Malaysia, Potato Corner is operated by Rocks Foods, the local master franchise owner. Chayapatra Thongcharoen (Pong), co-founder and CEO of Rocks Group, expressed optimism about Potato Corner’s potential in Malaysia, citing a projected annual growth rate of 7.89% for the snack food market from 2023 to 2028. The company envisions a widespread footprint in the country.

Potato Corner attributes its claim to having the world’s best-flavored fries to two key factors: quality and premium ingredients. Each serving is prepared fresh upon order, using the highest grade imported shoestring fries meticulously chosen for their solidity, length, and post-frying longevity.

Pong emphasised the centrality of flavors to their brand identity, stating, “Flavors are our core DNA, and we use high-quality ingredients to create them—quality in every bite is at the heart of everything we do.”

In addition to their renowned fries, Potato Corner Malaysia has introduced chicken pop to its menu. Pong expressed confidence in the quality of their chicken pop, asserting it to be the juiciest in the market. Made exclusively from dark meat, the chicken is cut into bite-sized pieces, coated in a thin breading, and seasoned with the brand’s signature flavors.

The menu offerings in Malaysia are poised for continual expansion, mirroring the brand’s strategy in Thailand, where substantial resources are dedicated to product innovation.

Importantly, all ingredients used are halal certified, aligning with the dietary preferences of a diverse consumer base.

Potato Corner’s arrival in Malaysia signifies not only a new culinary experience but also an exciting prospect for the snack-loving populace.
