After its many teases over the last couple of months, we have finally gotten our hands on the Huawei Mate 10. As a Huawei user myself, I have been having an internal struggle on which smartphone to upgrade to because I am just that greedy.
From the first glance, the Mate 10 is a very sophisticated and elegant smartphone; one of the better-looking one’s of 2017 if I must say so. It’s mocha brown colourway also gives a great breather from the many blacks, blues, golds and rose golds (ugh) that have become boring. The Mate 10 also features an edge-to-edge display with a short forehead and chin, for those who are still looking for a smartphone with a home button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner.
That is one feature that irks me to this day. While the Mate 9 carries its scanner at the back, Huawei reverts to keeping it at the front for the Mate 10.
Of course, I wouldn’t want to divulge too much as it would ruin the reason for a full-length review so I’ll save my rant for that.
