Even if you’re not a Sega fan, it’s hard not to notice how bad Sonic looks. I mean, why does he have human teeth?!?! Its almost like as if they based Sonics design off this drawing:
Needless to say, fans weren’t happy with Sonic’s design and were rather vocal about it online, with the trailer racking up 671,000 dislikes on YouTube. Now, in what is a pretty rare case of a film studio succumbing to fan backlash, Paramount have decided to push back the release date of the movie by 3 months to give the filmmakers “a little more time to make Sonic just right.”

The film will now hit cinemas on the 14th of February 2020, so all you Sega fans now have a chance to either have your Valentine’s day hit that nostalgic sweet spot or be completely ruined.
