Evo 2018 Tournament Schedule, Stream Times, and Commentary Lineup

It’s finally that time of the year again for fighting game fans. That’s right, the world’s largest fighting game event is back this weekend with Evo 2018. There will be up to nine Twitch streams for you to keep up with, as well as game announcements to look forward to.

This year, there will be eight main stage games featured at Evo. These games are Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Tekken 7, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, and Injustice 2.

Upcoming games confirmed to appear at the event are Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Soul Calibur VI, and Kill la Kill The Game: IF.

Las Vegas is an expensive trip, so no doubt many of you can only be there in spirit. Still, you can watch the tournaments unfold easily via Twitch. Below is a full schedule of the games and their associated channels, so study them carefully if you don’t want to miss a game:

Excited for upcoming games? Well, then you won’t want to miss the twitch.tv/evo channel at 6PM and 8PM PDT (9AM and 11AM Malaysia time) on Friday. The folks at Nintendo and Bandai Namco will show off new gameplay footage of Super Smash. Bros Ultimate and Soul Calibur VI during these times respectively.

Aside from the tournaments, you’ll also want to watch the Top 8 finals of these games on Saturday and Sunday. Evo has become a breeding ground for fighting game announcements in recent years. No doubt we’ll bear witness to DLC characters or even brand new games amidst the action.

At the very least, make sure to watch the Sunday finals. These will take place on a premium stage in a giant stadium arena, with a passionate crowd and explosive atmosphere to match the on-screen intensity. If there’s one time to witness what Evo is all about, it’s on this day.
