There’s one fashion designer from Malaysia who has reached international accreditation and is known for his remarkable dresses adorned by the biggest names in Hollywood and celebrities, he is non-other than Zang Toi. Showcasing his collection Toi-The Dressmaker the bridge line of Zang Toi of New York at the recent Malaysian Fashion week, the designer picked Epson Malaysia to represent the collaborative efforts that’s able to bring the textile design to life with the use of technology.

During the show, models paraded on the catwalk presenting 18 looks for 2017 Spring/Summer collection in looks of women in power suits for day and Epson digital prints for cocktail and evening pieces. The coming together featured special Malaysian inspired l ‘wayang kulit’ motifs fabric that is digitally printed by the SureColour digital textile printers. Using digital dye-sublimation textile printer the images were able to be translated on to the taffeta fabric, which the Toi’s dedicated team custom-created for this occasion.

The designer, trusts technology, trend and fashion work hand in hand and digital textile printing will ultimately replace silk printing for the mass market. Epson digital dye sublimation printers use Epson’s proprietary technology known as Micro Piezo and PrecisionCore TFP head technology.
