Epson Offers 4 Years Worry Free EcoTank Printers

Wondering how long your tech product lasts after the initial purchase can be a chore, but when the warranty offered is reasonable the investment becomes worthwhile. This is exactly what Epson though of when it introduced its new range of Epson EcoTank Monochrome printers, the M3170 and M1140 series, the warranty level on these printers are extraordinary to say the least.

Epson regards it self as the grandfather of inkjets, with innovative technology like PrecisionCore printheads and EcoTank technology, the printer manufacturer managed to bring down the overall total cost of ownership of these products substantially. Remember the days when everyone fretted to buy printers because of the high cost of ink cartridges often relying on compatible after market units that eventually will destroy your printer? Yeah! Those days are gone with the introduction of InkTanks which is now being adopted by many of the other brands, this has made owning printers much more affordable.

With monochrome printers now offering built in InkTanks the new addition from Epson both the M3170 and M1140 printer can now rival laser printers in terms of quality,  speed and most importantly cost of running them. Traditionally, offices opted for lasers over ink jets due to cost of refilling against toners for lasers, but with InkTanks the concern is no longer evident, in fact it can even be much cheaper to use inkjets. Both models use the PrecisionCore printhead, which brings improved nozzle technology with increased print resolutions at 1200 x 2400 dpi, and faster speeds of 20ipm

The multi-function 4-in-1 M3170 EcoTank Monochrome printer comes with auto-duplex printing, scan, copy and fax functions, and is equipped with an automatic document feeder (ADF), as well as Ethernet connectivity while the M1140 printer comes with only printing functions. They also offer a host of connectivity solutions, enabling printing directly from mobile devices via Epson iPrint and other connectivity solutions include scanning to cloud, Apple Airprint, Google Cloud print and Mopria Print Services.

The EcoTank Monochrome series printers comes with 4 years or 50,000 pages of warranty, whichever comes first. Epson launched the first ink tank printer model in Indonesia in 2010, and subsequently in Southeast Asia and globally. The ink tank printer has sold more than cumulative 30 million units worldwide as of July 2017.
