ELITE LNS isn’t a name that household would know. Judging by their catalogue, most of the company’s products are made for the industrial sector. Going by what I’ve seen, it seems to be made for professional use. Regardless, we have somehow managed to acquire one of their routers, the F3826 to be exact, and we’re here to tell you if it is any good.
Tiny Yellow Thing
My first impressions with the ELITE LNS is how tiny it is. When compared to the other routers that we’ve had in the office, this particular router is miniscule. However, while the size of the thing ELITE LNS may be small, the weight of it is rather surprising. It seems to be built entirely out of metal and as such, it manages to weight quite a lot when you take into account its weight.
Multi-Disciplined
An industrial router demands something special when it comes to the build. For that purpose, the ELITE LNS comes with a high-powered industrial 32-bit CPU and an embedded real time operating system. Connectivity-wise, the ELITE LNS supports RS232, RS485, RS422, Ethernet, Wi-FI and various other methods to acquire a connection.
Industrial Performance
Seeing as the company claims that this router is frequently used in industries where machine to machine networks are common, ease of use and stability needs to be the main selling point of the router. In this case, they’ve managed to do so well. Initial setup for the ELITE LNS is mostly painless which is great for those who needs the internet running ASAP. As for stability, the ELITE LNS has yet to crap out on us, making it superior to our other office router that occasionally splutters out.
Full Of Expectations
We’ll admit, testing the ELITE LNS in our office isn’t exactly an ideal setting as it isn’t as taxing as some of the more highly demanding locations. That said, I’m still happy with what I’ve seen out of the ELITE LNS router thus far. While I highly doubt that normal folks would actually need the performance shown by the ELITE LNS, I believe that it’ll be great for those who need a high performance router.
