The uncertainty for hundreds of thousands of students who had their exam calendar completely turned upside down by the Covid 19 and the governments move to shut down all Universities, can now breathe a sigh of relief with the unveiling of the new examination calendar by the Ministry Of Education.
MOE is taking into consideration of the Movement Control Order being extended till April 14 and the 1 month order that has impacted most of the exam calendar that were planned this year. Taking into account the shorter time period for preparation, the new schedule is to give more time for students for the upcoming examinations. The rescheduling will affect thousands of SPM students, the exams which were scheduled to begin in 5 October and end on 19 November will now be pushed for another month and will now take place on 16 November and end on 7 December.
For PT3 (form 3) exams, there will be no change and will resume as normal- 28 September to 6 October, however the Bahasa and English paper will be set on 28 and 29 September respectively. USPR sat by junior students aged 8-12 will also remain as planned.
Some of the biggest changes taking place will be the rescheduling for the higher learning students, STPM, University and College who were suppose to sit for exams in March, April and May will see extended the dates being restructured. An example is the Matriculation College exams which were to be held on 30 March to 6 April will now move another month to 27 April to 4 May.
