With streaming content, it usually doesn’t qualify for proper news coverage, though Altered Carbon is a true exception. There are a couple of reasons why it stands out and what could be better than checking the trailer:

Personally, this is what Ghost in the Shell could have been with the right writing and production focuses. In fact, it Altered Carbon features many aspects that PC.com covers on a regular basis.

Think automation, artificial intelligence, robotics, augmented reality, and many forms of digital innovations.

According to CNET, rumours are going around that Netflix is spending US$7 million per episode. Its goal is to truly bring the 2002 novel of the same name to life. Already many are saying it’s a combination of a few very popular bleak sci-fi with the same themes. This includes Blade RunnerThe MatrixArmitage III, and features from upcoming films like Ready, Player One.

Of course, the main aspects will follow the trail of a murder mystery.

Beyond following the protagonist narrative, Altered Carbon will also delve into the concept of living within data streams. While the trailer didn’t go into the nitty-gritty, it mixes in enough content to explain what is in store.

Is it worth to binge-watch? That remains to be seen until the show airs in its entirety on Netflix. Those keen to jump right in need not wait long as Altered Carbon will make its debut on February 2 2018.
