Dyson’s Latest Product Mimics Natural Light; Perfect For Your Windowless Room If You Have RM2653 To Spare

Human beings have come far in it’s pursuit for, well.. greatness. We’re always pushing the boundaries of technology in efforts to make our lives ever more convenient and so far, we’ve been doing a pretty good job. As far as we’ve come however, the concept of artificial light is still a relatively new concept for us. It’s so new in fact that if you were to shrink evolution into 24 hours, artificial light would only have existed for around seven seconds, at least according to Dyson

That being said, Dyson, the brand that’s more famous for its insanely expensive (but also really cool) hairdryers, has revealed its latest product, the Dyson Lightcycle Morph and it’s a light that makes use of local daylight tracking to provide users with a bunch of solutions that mimic natural light. Of course, there’s also an app and the Lightcycle Morph connects to the Dyson Link App, which gives users the option to adjust the light based on the users task, mood, age and local daylight.

With up to 20 custom light settings, it does sound pretty nifty, doesn’t it. Given that our circadian rhythms are still mostly in sync with the good ol’ fashioned rising and setting of the sun, the Lightcycle Morph with it’s versatility could just transcend the limits of the conventional artificial lighting setup and offer users the most realistic and personalized lighting solutions.

“With the Dyson Lightcycle Morph, our aim was to challenge the fundamental conventions of contemporary artificial lighting and find a soulution,”

“So we developed a light that tracks natural daylight and intelligently transforms for different uses — providing the right light, at the right time, precisely where it’s needed.”

Dyson Chief Engineer Jake Dyson.

The Dyson Lightcycle morph is already on sale and currently available in two forms, as a desk light for $649.99 USD or a floor light for $849.99 USD. Click HERE for more details.
