Don’t Expect Elder Scroll VI Anytime Soon, Says Bethesda VP

While many fans are eagerly anticipating the arrival of the next entry into the Elder Scrolls universe, Elder Scrolls VI, we now know not to expect it anytime soon. This comes from a new tweet from Bethesda senior vice president, Pete Hines.

He responded to a tweet that was asking when we could get some more information about their next Elder Scrolls game, which prompted Hines to tweet this out:

After teasing the game back in E3 2018, we really haven’t been given much else in terms of details or potential release windows. And of course, that includes their latest new IP Starfield, which also has been pretty information absent since the reveal. Which essentially means, we shouldn’t expect details about Elder Scrolls VI for at least another few years as Bethesda finishes up Starfield. How many years exactly is unclear, but I’m not hopeful.

Granted, this many annoy some fans as well as many of those who are eagerly anticipating the next game. But considering the current climate and the way Bethesda typically works, it was to be expected. Nonetheless, it’s still disheartening to hear but after the mess that was Fallout 76, I can’t help but hope the time they’re taking to make the game equates to an experienced unparalleled in the Elder Scrolls universe.
