The second season for Disney+’s The Mandalorian will not face any delays, according to Disney CEO Bob Chapek.

This comes as no surprise, as The Mandalorian already finished production for its second season. It just so happens to be before the pandemic started causing issues for the industry, too, so it got lucky.

But this bit of news from the CEO confirms that post-production from the show is ongoing safely. So there shouldn’t be a delay for the upcoming season.

The news comes days after claims from The Hollywood Reporter that Temuera Morrison would be portraying Boba Fett in the second season.

Morrison is known for portraying Jango Fett, Boba Fett’s father in Episode II. Of course, you’d know from watching the movie that Boba Fett is actually a clone of Boba Fett, hence why the casting of Morrison as his “son” makes total sense.

Other Disney+ shows, however, like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision, may likely face delays. Filming for these shows was shut down due to the pandemic and has not continued since.

This will undoubtedly spell trouble for Disney as they won’t have much to offer in terms of content. If things get bad enough, people won’t feel compelled to subscribe to the streaming service, and existing subscribers might discontinue.

Of course, they could always start distributing its streaming service to other countries to help negate that. Like, make it available in more countries in Southeast Asia (like Malaysia!), and it’ll skyrocket for sure.

Then again, there will surely be issues to that too, so I guess we’ll have to wait longer to watch The Mandalorian ourselves.
