Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd is holding its 5th installation of the WWWOW Awards, a yearly initiative designed to recognise inspiring Malaysians who are creating waves online.
The winners are local talents who “use the internet for good to increase internet creativity, share inspiration and grow entrepreneurism in the country,” says Chan May Ling, Digi’s Head of Marketing Services.

A new incubator series called Digi WWWOW Hangout will serve as a platform for award receivers to achieve a higher level with their ideas, while enabling them to listen and learn from experts from various related industries.
There are eight categories to be won and the victors will be decided by a panel of judges, with members of the public voting for the People’s Choice Award.
Coming home with an award does not only give you the bragging right for the rest of the year but also a cash prize of RM10,000.
More exciting news is one special selection will receive an investment from the telco company to potentially “Take Ideas Further” and possibly as a joint venture.
Chan tells us: “Every year we see very inspiring ideas. This year, we will pick one with a strong business proposition and invest in it to give the business a boost.”
You can either submit or nominate for this awards. So, if you think you are what Digi is looking for or you know someone who is, submissions are open from 14 Sept-12 Oct 2015.
