Digi’s New Credit Card Terminals Goes Wireless

Businesses no longer need their payment terminal wired to fixed phone lines to operate credit card transaction, Digi together with CIMB are rolling out new age terminals that can connects using wireless connection. This will enable thousands of retailers who can’t get fixed lines to their locations or those who are constantly mobile like food trucks and insurance agents for example.

CIMB will be the first bank introducing this service to businesses, the move is to preempt the surge in more cashless transaction taking place in the country with the soon ewallet gaining traction as a new payment method. Customers are no longer apologetic to retailers who are not able to offer the convenience of making a purchase, retailers who are not able to provide the required solution will tend to lose the business.

Digi’s wireless payments terminals are simple to use and doesn’t need an elaborate setup process and does not even require a device for Bluetooth pairing giving the unit a longer battery life span.

The service currently requires 4G Plus network which is essential for the terminals to function at optimum.
