DiGi, you may know them for their telco services, but now have taken a different route. DiGi is partnering up with Gibraltar BSN Life to launch Dengue Cover+, an affordable digital Dengue and Zika cover with Life Insurance. The policy, underwritten by Gibraltar is a fully digital enabled protection plan. Therefore, the policy will be distributed by DiGi and will be exclusively available to their existing Postpaid and Prepaid subscribers.

The users have to be between the ages of 18-45 and can get it with an easy online sign up. Using the Ministry of Health’s insights and current data, DiGi subscribers in High alert dengue areas will get a push notification. The notification will come directly from DiGi and will inform them that their residential area is a Dengue hotspot. This notification will also include an opportunity to protect themselves and their families.

The digital insurance plan will be available for as low as RM 0.15 cents per day. Also included in the plan, is Hospital Cash benefits, and Death and Total Permanent Disability benefits. There are other benefits in case the subscriber suffers from a Dengue or Zika attack.
