Blizzard Entertainment is set to launch a limited time crossover event between Diablo Immortal and StarCraft from 13 May to 10 June, bringing an interstellar invasion that reshapes Sanctuary with new bosses, mutated dungeons and faction themed gameplay inspired by the iconic real time strategy franchise.
The collaboration introduces a full scale narrative event where the Swarm descends on Sanctuary, triggering Infested Rifts, Dark Ascension boss encounters and a Conqueror mode featuring Terran, Zerg and Protoss inspired abilities. Players will also face Tal’Darim Templar and Ascended Archon units in four player battles as part of the Aeon of Stars event, which runs on rotating reward cycles across four weeks.

A key gameplay addition is the Infested Rifts system, where Elder Rifts can mutate with Zerg forces, introducing the Feral Hydralisk boss and dropping exclusive Legendary weapons with special affixes. Blizzard also confirmed a new Legendary Gem called Baneboil, which unleashes corrosive explosions capable of disrupting enemy formations.
In Conqueror mode, faction based shrines will allow players to activate unique buffs including a Terran Stim Pack that boosts attack and movement speed, Zerg poison projectiles that apply damage over time and Protoss shields that absorb incoming damage. Only faction aligned abilities will appear during matches, adding a strategic layer to combat.
The crossover also features StarCraft inspired familiar skins, including the Zergling, which enhances combat by enabling portable skills to be used without cooldown when active.
Blizzard said the event is designed as a high intensity limited time experience blending Diablo Immortal’s dungeon gameplay with StarCraft’s faction warfare themes, offering exclusive rewards for players who participate during the event window.
